The US Residential Elevator system is available in either a Machine Room Less (MRL) or Hydraulic configuration.

  • The following illustrates the available hoistway configurations for the US Residential Elevator.
  • Model types: I = In-line, P = Pass-through (front and rear), 9 = 90°, IO = In-line, opposite tower.
  • To determine tower location and door strike, view from lowest landing looking into hoistway.

US Residential Elevator Hoistway Design for in-line models
ILL = In-line opening, left hand tower, left hand strike.
ILR = In-line opening, left hand tower, right hand strike (non-standard, field wiring required).
IRR = In-line opening, right hand tower, right hand strike.
IRL = In-line opening, right hand tower, left hand strike (non-standard, field wiring required).

PLL = Pass-through openings, left hand tower, left hand strike.
PLR = Pass-through openings, left hand tower, right hand strike (non-standard, field wiring required).
PRR = Pass-through openings, right hand tower, right hand strike.
PRL = Pass-through openings, right hand tower, left hand strike (non-standard, field wiring required).

9LL = 90° openings, left hand tower, left hand strike.
9LR = 90° openings, left hand tower, right hand strike (non-standard, field wiring required).
9RR = 90° openings, right hand tower, right hand strike.
